DIY Flounce Dress

11-10-2017-4

Hello Dearies! Sorry for the late post but it was quite a hectic week to say the least. Between sewing, working a regular 9-5 and finding time to edit and increase my knowledge on photography and photo editing I have yet to find a groove. But my goal is to always work toward improving my blog with great content and visuals.

Today I’m wearing this cute cocktail flounce dress that almost didn’t make the cut. When I cut my size from the pattern there was SO MUCH ease that I had to cut away more than 4 inches worth of fabric from the sides. But it was so cute I also made it in a leopard print and wore it for my bday one year (I might post later). Hope you guys enjoy your weekend and I will see you next week with more DIYs and hopefully a YouTube Vid! Pattern Review Below.

Shoes (old from Barefoot), Necklace (from Ebay), Skinny Belt (Target)

Pattern: Butterick B5985

Size: 22

Fabric: Crepe

Details: I didn’t make any changes to this pattern except for fit adjustments. Like I said before, this pattern has a lot of ease so you may want to cut 2 sizes smaller.
